Syatzver

Syatzver (origin: Pravelkan) is a word that refers to the divine creatures seen across the continent of Isernia in Kahara. It's the commonly accepted word used across the continent when referring to a creature believed to be of divine origin that shares in the power of the Gods. Roughly translated it means Celestial Beast.

Syatzver are inherent to the world, and some even consider them true deities rather than holy and enduring beasts. While no longer common in the modern age, in times past, in order to gain great magical prowess or have some manner of wish fulfilled, pacts would be formed with individual Syatzver. This eventually gave rise to the Fae Touched; those whose bloodlines were beholden to the pact an ancestor made, with each generation showing more and more unusual characteristics reminiscent of the Syatzver their family line is bound to. The various tribes of Fae are also said to have been birthed of various Syatzver, with their very similar traits and close ties to particular ones. The territories of Syatzver are not clearly defined, and may shift over time or overlap with other Syatzver. The only well defined territories are those of Sagcoln and Wilindea, due to the corrupted nature of the land.
